Warm holiday wishes to family, friends, and Tales and Travel followers. Thank you for reading, commenting and inspiring me to continue this venture.
We will join our friend Cindy Egolf today (Christmas Eve) for lunch across the border in Italy. Cindy is an orchestra conductor. Check out this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J8FERvEZeak She is awesome.
For Christmas, it’s just us and the cats. I will try something very French: Pigeon, a challenging experiment. I have been researching recipes. And, I will make pumpkin pie for Bob, his favorite.
I had hoped to go to nearby Monaco for a serious Christmas décor photo shoot, but that did not happen. Not to worry. The decorations will still be there, so maybe I will make it for a pre New Year’s photo shoot. Stay tuned. Meanwhile, here are a few random holiday shots. I had a quick preview of Monaco’s decorations on an outing to attend an opera there, but I only had the phone camera. They deserve better.
Wherever, whatever you celebrate, make it fun and delicious.
Merry Christmas. Happy Hanukkah. Joyeux Noel. Buon Natale. Frohe Weihnachten — Bob and Leah

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from Colorado! What a great photo of you and Bob – a selfie? No pigeon here but a wonderful Christmas Eve dinner with close friends – a 16 yr long tradition. Unfortunately, he’s retiring so this may be the last. They’re going home to Australia in the Fall. A little lonely without Tai but we’ll see him next week. Love, Steve and Yoshie

Hello Leah and Bob,
Lovely photos; enjoy your holidays…..
I so miss Christmas in Europe! We are having Fondue for Christmas Eve; loaded with garlic and Kirsch and possibly a little cheese; remember Lauterbrunnen?
Our best to both of you and the cats.

We miss Christmas in Germany, the very best. It was not very Christmasy, but we had a delicious fish lunch yesterday on the beach in Italy: Warm, sunny, beautiful. That fondue sounds fabulous. Of course, I remember Lauterbrunnen. I would love to be there now, whizzing down snowy slopes.

You both look (and sound) like Monaco is good for you. Thanks for the casino shot — home to a number of champagne flutes I consumed there over the years.

Thanks Ole, and for your Christmas message. Seems we mostly go to drs. in Monaco. No champagne, but that would be much better. All the best to you and Joanie.
